Two Inside Flyer Articles Now Available Online
If you subscribe to Inside Flyer Magazine then you may have seen some of my work this month. I was asked to write a trip report and contribute to another article, both of which were published in the January print edition. Thankfully, they are both available online as well.
South America Family Trip Report
Back in October when I visited the House of Miles, the Inside Flyer team approached me about writing a family trip report. Since we had recently taken a trip down to South America, the timing was perfect.
With this being Inside Flyer, the trip report is more about miles/points and less about the travel. The article has great value in my opinion since I am able to breakdown how I booked each leg and how each of the three of us had a different routing home!
The trip report mentions several different things that I have written about here on Miles to Memories. Below are a few articles related to our family South America Adventure!
Article on Miles to Memories related to the trip:
- Behind The Booking – My Family’s Recent South American Adventure
- A Medellin City Tour – Spending An Amazing Day In The City
- Surviving Bogota’s Insane Transmilenio Mass Transit System
- A Growing Empire – My Colombian Uber Experience
- How Two Amusement Parks Converted Old Airplanes Into Rides
- Four Redeyes In 3 Weeks?!? Why I Am Reevaluating Life!
- How Do You Celebrate Your Birthday While Traveling?
7 Frequent Flyer Myths Debunked
I was also asked to participate in an article called “7 Frequent Flyer Myths Debunked” for the January edition of Inside Flyer. For the article, seven bloggers were asked to each tackle one myth. The topics range from revenue based programs to the effectiveness of complaining.
The myth that I was asked to write about is, “Frequent travel programs are only for frequent travelers (or I don’t fly enough to make membership in a these programs worthwhile).” You will have to click over to the article to find out what I wrote.
Conclusion
Both of these articles are worth reading in my opinion. The family trip report will give you a behind the scenes look at one of our recent vacation and the myths article is sure to give you a different perspective on this hobby that we all love. Have a great night!
