A New Full RSS Feed
Ever since Miles to Memories began, I have made the decision to publish a truncated RSS feed. I write custom descriptions of each post to accurately show what is in the post, but prefer that people read the content on the website.
While one of the reasons I do it is because pageviews help to support the site, I also feel that it is a better experience since not everything transfers over properly to RSS. With that said, several readers have asked if I could do something about the truncated feed and I value your feedback.
After consulting with the team from BoardingArea we have made the following changes:
- The current truncated feed will remain the same. If you are subscribed to the current feed everything will work and feel exactly the same. I do still believe this is the best option for most people.
- We are adding a new full feed. In order to receive the full posts in your RSS feed you will need to subscribe to this new feed.
The new full RSS feed address is: https://milestomemories.com/feed/full
Thank you again for the continuing to read and comment here at Miles to Memories. As always, feel free to contact me with any feedback, questions or concerns. Have a great afternoon/night!

This feed doesn’t seem to work any more in igHome. Can you check if it is still working?
Hi RRR. I have updated the post. The feed is now at https://milestomemories.com/feed/full
Hmm. Still does not seem to be working in igHome. Got the below error
“Sorry, we did not find a valid RSS feed at that address.
If you entered the URL for a website, visit the website and see if you can find a link to the actual RSS feed that you want to import.
If you entered a URL to a RSS feed, click here to validate the feed.”
This is great. I’m much more likely to read your content now. Thank you so much.

Thanks. This is my preferred reading method. Especially on mobile. Much appreciated.
Hi Shawn.
I tried to subscribe, but after clicking the link I get this message:
“This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.”
There is a long report that I cannot understand after that. Am I doing something wrong or missing something?
Which RSS reader are you using. You should just be able to copy the link and then go to the reader and paste it in. For example Feedly has an add content button. Click that and paste the feed and it will do the rest.
Oh! OK, I just used feedly then. It works!
Excellent, thanks!
My favorite blog just got favorite-er! I really appreciate the option and will continue to visit the full site when convenient.
This is gonna be way better…
Thank you!!!! I always save the full website when I bookmark a post but when I’m reading in Feedly it’s a huge pain to click and have to wait for articles to load, and I can’t read when I don’t have data, so I have to keep it unread until I have access to Internet (and then I might never read it at all since 100 new articles have been posted by then). So having full text RSS is much much appreciated. Thank you!
Now if only the comments section didn’t require me to confirm the follow every time too…then the blog would be perfect 😉 check out Disqus or something else!
Thank you!
Thanks Shawn, this is appreciated.
