Hilton To Offer COVID-19 Testing for Events at Hilton Hotels

Starting later this month, Hilton will offer event planners new ways to book third-party COVID-19 tests and screenings for events at any Hilton property.

Event planners continue to look to hospitality industry leaders for solutions that help simplify the complex task of organizing in-person or hybrid events in the current environment. So Hilton is stepping up to the challenge with COVID-19 testing and health screening resources for their event attendees.

The COVID-19 testing and health screening options are presented to event planners as the latest evolution of EventReady with CleanStay, Hilton’s global cleanliness and client service program specific to meetings and events. Located within the Playbook’s Wellness section will be third-party providers that can provide personal health screening checklists, handheld temperature check devices and on-site and at-home COVID-19 testing options.

“As more customers book in-person meetings and events, there has been a steady increase in requests and questions around COVID-19 testing and screening options for event attendees,” said Frank Passanante, senior vice president, Hilton Worldwide Sales, Americas, in the press release. “In response, we expanded the resources within our Hilton EventReady Playbook to include third-party providers that can deliver a seamless experience and offer preferential pricing to our event planners.”

Hilton is trying to boost business travel, which is expected to lag behind leisure travel for at least few years due to the pandemic. A recent survey from ValuePenguin of 1,200 consumers that found 57% have a vacation planned this year, with 16% having booked right after hearing about new vaccines. But business travel is expected to be down by 87% through at least April, and it not expected to rebound to pre-pandemic levels until 2023 or 2024.
