Hong Kong Airlines Business Class Mistake Fare Honored
Yesterday morning we covered the almost mindblowing sub-$600 fares on Hong Kong Airlines between the United States and Asia. Why is this a good deal? For starters, Hong Kong Airlines has a very good lie flat product and second, even the worst airlines don’t sell business class at the same price as coach.
Whether or not these fares were a mistake or not, it appears they will be honored. One Mile at a Time confirmed with Hong Kong Airlines that they will honor the tickets.
Here is the airline’s statement:
Yes, Hong Kong Airlines is honouring the ticketed reservations.
Normal ticketing practice does not require reconfirmation for tickets already issued so our customers can look forward to travelling on Hong Kong Airlines as planned.

Do They Know What They Are Doing?
While the above statement does seem a bit generic, it does seem they are aware of the tickets and plan to honor them. Some theorize that this wasn’t a mistake at all, but I highly doubt that given the fares. Of course it is always possible that they wanted to fill seats that were going empty anyway.
Where Are You Going?
I know a lot of you booked tickets and I personally am sad I couldn’t. For a few reasons I wasn’t able to commit to a ticket quick enough and as with all deals, this one died. It is definitely one of the best cash business class deals I have ever seen and I am super bummed out, but oh well.
