Hyatt Brand Explorer Perk 5 Free Nights
One of my favorite, and kind of under the radar, perks of the World of Hyatt program is the brand explorer perk. The brand explorer perk encourages you try all of the different hotel brands Hyatt has to often. Every time you check 5 unique brands off the list you get a category 1-4 free night certificate. When this perk first launched in the program you could earn a maximum of 2 free night certificates. We were the first to break the news that the number was bumped to 3 after a few Hyatt hotel purchases. Well, it is fitting that I can confirm that it is now possible to earn 5 free night certificates with the Hyatt brand explorer perk.
After yesterday’s addition of 52 all inclusive properties the list of Hyatt brands just hit 26. Hopefully the addition of another 40 plus all inclusive properties in the near future will bump that number up to 30!

I am not sure what the purpose of it is, outside of marketing speak, but I’ll break it down by them. So, I guess they win.

Earn 5 Free Nights With Hyatt Brand Explorer Perk: Final Thoughts
I remember back when this perk launched I thought it would be near impossible to earn two free night certificates out of the program. That was because almost every brand needed to be hit, I think there were 11 in total back then. Some of those brand’s hotels were few and far between. It used to also require cash stays (or cash plus points) for the stay to count towards the perk.
With this explosion of options by Hyatt over the last few years, and the addition of award nights counting, that is no longer the case. It should be fairly easy for people to gather two or three extra free night certs by simply staying at Hyatt hotels during their normal travels.
It is even better if you have a two player system. Whenever we are going to a brand I already have I always Guest of Honor the stay under my wife’s account so she gets the brand credit. If it is a brand neither of us has then we can split the stay between our accounts. That means we can now earn up to 10 free nights between the two of us. Pretty awesome!

Thank you for publishing this list. I recently got a 5 brand free night after staying at The Motif in Seattle. But I couldn’t figure out how this fit into the program. Traditional Hyatt brands were obvious, but not these new ones. From your list, it looks like the brand for The Motif is “Destination by Hyatt”, so any hotel that says “Destination by Hyatt” will no longer count for me. I thought the brand for this hotel was “World of Hyatt Independent Collection.” But your list makes it obvious.
