Hyatt Diamond Suite Upgrades

Today is the last day to apply 2015 Diamond Suite Upgrades before they expire. They can be applied to any booking through next February, but you have to do it today. I know a lot of you are sitting on some upgrades due to getting matched to Hyatt, so it’s best not to let those go to waste.

One of the issues you will find today is long hold times since DSUs cannot be applied via the Hyatt website. Fortunately there is a way around calling. @HyattConcierge can add the upgrades to your existing reservation or even book a new reservation for you via Twitter. I did it yesterday and it worked flawlessly. So much better than calling in.

Top Cashback $29 Per Referral

Top Cashback is one of my favorite shopping portals. While I always try to use the portal with the highest payout, I do stick to a handful that I know are reliable. In celebration of Leap Year, Top Cashback is offering $29 for referring your friends through March 3. The normal payout is $10.

To earn the referral, simply login to your Top Cashback account and click “Tell-A-Friend” at the top. They can sign up via your link or you can also share on social media. Once your referral earns $10 in payable cashback, you will get $29 added to your account!

Double Cashback at Ebates

Ebates is also getting into the Leap Year fun by offering double cashback at over 500 stores. My favorite deal of the day is Kohl’s. They are offering 10% cashback through Ebates that stacks with a 20% off code, $10 in Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent and 3X (15%) Yes2You rewards. Don’t forget to use discounted gift cards as well!

Amex Cruise Offers

I noticed a couple of new cruise related targeted Amex Offers this morning in my account. The offers are as follows:

  • Get a one-time $100 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a total of $500 or more to purchase a Norwegian Cruise Line sailing at ncl.com between 2/29/16 and 4/30/2016. See terms for exclusions.
  • Get a one-time $75 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $250+ in one or more transactions on a Carnival Cruise booking by 4/15/2016. See terms for exclusions.

In the past when I have booked cruises I have been allowed to split the transaction. If they will allow you to use multiple cards, then this could amount to a significant discount on the cruise. There are some terms, so make sure to read carefully, but overall these are good deals if you are interested in cruising on one of these lines.

Enjoy!

  1. If you want @HyattConcierge help you with DSU – do you just give them your confirmation number? any other info? Also – can they help you with other requests – like getting a higher floor, or better view, or some such?

  2. How do I go about getting them to match my spg status at hyatt – should I just email or is there anything else I can do?
