Hyatt Place Las Vegas at Silverton Village Opening
When it comes to points options Hyatt seemingly has Vegas on lockdown. Unfortunately upon closer inspection that doesn’t hold up well considering most Mlife options are simply overpriced with points and you still have to pay the resort fee.
There is of course a Hyatt Place just off the Strip near the airport. It is a bit older now and isn’t a terrible value as a category 2 property costing 8,000 points per night. The existing Hyatt Place is of the older design which isn’t in my opinion as good as the nicer properties. Thankfully there will be a new Hyatt option opening just off the Strip in a couple of weeks.
New Vegas Hyatt Opening
The Hyatt Place Las Vegas at Silverton Village is located just off I-15 a couple of miles South of Raiders Stadium and Mandalay Bay. The hotel is also a category 2 (8,000 points per night) and features:
- 150 rooms including some suites
- 4,000 square feet of meeting space
- Located next to Bass Pro Shops & Silverton Casino
- Easy access to the Strip and Raiders Stadium
My Thoughts
Yes this is a fairly typical new Hyatt Place build which is something I wouldn’t complain about. The new Hyatt Place properties are attractive and comfortable. The Hyatt Place Las Vegas at Silverton Village will be a great points value on weekends when rates can skyrocket and many people will prefer its location to that of the old Hyatt Place.
Additionally, the new Vegas Hyatt Place is located in the same parking lot as both a Bass Pro Shops and the Silverton Casino which has tons of restaurants along with gaming. There is quite a lot to see/do and Raiders stadium is only about 10 minutes up the road as is the Strip. Not a bad location at all.
Update: I happened to be driving by the hotel the other day so I snapped some photos and have added them here.
Conclusion
I drove by the new Vegas Hyatt Place the other day and it looks beautiful on the outside. On the inside I expect it to be just like any other newer Hyatt Place which is to say it should be pretty darn good. On many higher demand nights if you can snag a points reservation it will end up being a great deal.

Is this “brand new” or a remake of a previous building? When i went to Silverton ly, i remember seeing another stand alone building but it wasn’t a Hyatt.
This is a completely new build. Silverton has expanded quite a bit over the years. It started as a small casino and hotel called Boomtown. Eventually they added Bass Pro Shops and then a few years ago they added a condo tower to the property. Then came Cracker Barrel and now they are building a large shopping center on one side of the property and adding in the Hyatt Place. I think they have further expansions planned too. Basically they have a huge property and are expanding it over time. This should be a very nice new build Hyatt Place.
At an attractive price point, you could sandwich this Hyatt Place between cheap Mlife weekday rates for elite WoH status. November 9th perhaps?
Have stayed at the old Hyatt Place several when going to events at Thomas & Mack because I can walk from there. Also have used it for layovers because they run their own shuttle to the airport. Works for me, but then I don’t go to Vegas for Vegas. Have been looking at the new Hyatt Place as prices are less for the next event so appreciate your description of the area since I had no idea.
I stayed at the old Hyatt Place, and I would absolutely stay at the new one. I want to take my kids to Las Vegas someday (I know that sounds weird), and this would make for a great home base on points.
The new Hyatt Place is actually a great home base for families. Close enough to the Strip, but Bass Pro Shops has some cool stuff for kids and Silverton has a giant aquarium which sometimes has mermaids! I know Ellie loves visiting it and I used to bring Shawn Reece there often when he was a kid. Definitely a great family spot plus we know the rooms are super family friendly too.
Is this the actual Silverton casino or a brand new building?
It is a standalone building that sits in the parking lot between Cracker Barrel and Bass Pro Shops. It is probably a 2 minute walk to the entrance of Bass Pro and the Silverton complex.
