New & Improved JetBlue Plus Card Offer – Increased To 80,000 Points

There is an improved offer for the JetBlue Plus card that came out earlier this week. It is 30K more than the old offer, although 20K off the high of 100K last year. This offer comes with a very manageable $1,000 in spend though, which may be preferable for some compared to last year’s offer requiring $6,000 in spend.

Offer Details

  • Earn 80,000 points after spending $1,000 within the first 3 months
  • $99 annual fee is NOT waived

Card Perks / Earning Structure

  • Earn 6X points on JetBlue purchases
  • Earn 2X points at restaurants and eligible grocery stores
  • 1X on everything else
  • Get 10% of your redeemed points back
  • 5,000 point anniversary bonus each year
  • Earn Mosaic status by spending $50,000 on the card within a calendar year
  • 50% inflight savings

Increased JetBlue Plus Card Offer: Final Thoughts

Anytime an offer goes up 30,000 points it is a good day. Especially when the spending requirement stays the same, a mere $1,000. If you can use JetBlue points I think this is a very solid offer. I know JetBlue loyalists, like our very own Joe Cheung, love that they can spend their way to top tier status. I would try for this offer if JetBlue was more useful to me. But, maybe I should since I live in a Spirit Airlines focus city.

  1. Any thoughts on the pros/cons of this card when also holding BOA Spirit cards? We have about 200k Spirit miles, my initial thought – and hope – is that within 2 years Spirit and JB programs are be merged, keeping the best of both programs. Strikes me that this would be a good way to enter into the new program with a meaningful base number of miles. Reaction? TIA!

    • That is why I am considering it. I imagine they get combined at some point but I doubt Spirit rolls over at 1 to 1.

  2. Been thinking about this offer since I got an email for it. Just not sure if I’m eligible. I opened this JB card June 2019. Got my bonus 3 months later. Then closed June 2020. Any idea how often you can apply for this card…
