Increased American Express Bonuses for Many Cards

Increased American Express Bonuses for Many Cards

I was helping out someone in our Facebook Group yesterday trying to locate a 50,000 point American Express Premium Rewards Gold card offer.  I always use a clean browser (incognito mode) when visiting bank websites and decided to take a look. Not only was I offered the 50,000 point bonus, but saw quite a few other increased bonuses as well.

American Express Offers Given to Me

After visiting the American Express homepage, I immediately clicked ‘personal cards’ at the bottom of the page.

These are the offers that I saw:

  • 75,000 Personal Platinum bonus
  • 30,000 SPG bonus
  • 25,000 Everyday bonus (10,000 more than the Preferred)
  • $200 Blue Cash Everday bonus (no annual fee version)
  • 50,000 PRG bonus

Conclusion

These are some great offers.  Unfortunately, for me, I have already signed up for all of these cards.  They are at or near the all time high for each card.  The Personal Platinum is the only one that falls a little short (100,000 highest offer).  But, if you have been waiting on a 100k offer for a year or two without any luck you may want to consider this offer.  It is still pretty good vs great for the 100k offer.

If you have been considering going for the SPG personal card I would go for it sooner rather than later since it is most likely going to be phased out.

Let me know in the comments section what offers American Express gives you!

  1. I got both the SPG 30K and Gold 50K offers. I didn’t have to go Incognito. Otoh, my laptop’s browser history, cookies, etc, gets wiped every time I logged out the company network, which is fairly annoying except it worked well in this case.

  2. mark, recd a mailer for the personal plat w/o the lifetime language but for only 60k pts; did have the card & earn bonus sometime in 2016; if applying & meeting the required spend, i could earn the bonus again, correct?

    • Yeah if it doesn’t have the lifetime language you should be good. Others have had success in the past with it.

    • Try different browsers, different computers, and at different locations. Sometimes it won’t work at home but will at work etc.

    • No don’t log in – just click personal cards on the main page and they will pull up the cards for you
