iPhone Owners Can Claim $25 Cash Payment
If you owned an iPhone in 2017 or earlier, then you might be eligible to claim a $25 check. Apple has settled a lawsuit which claimed that a performance management feature introduced for iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, and SE devices in iOS 10.2.1, and introduced for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus devices in iOS 11.2, diminished the performance of some of those devices. Apple denies all allegations and is entering into this settlement to avoid burdensome and costly litigation. The settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing by Apple.
Eligibility
You are a member of the Settlement Class if you are or were (1) a United States owner of an iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 7, 7 Plus, and/or SE device (2) that ran iOS 10.2.1 or later or, in the case of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus devices, that ran iOS 11.2 or later before December 21, 2017. You must meet both criteria to be a member of the Settlement Class.
Eligible Devices
iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 7, 7 Plus, and/or SE devices that ran iOS 10.2.1 or later or iPhone 7 and 7 Plus devices that ran iOS 11.2 or later. Eligible members of the Settlement Class must meet the other requirements described in the notice.
Up to $25 per Eligible Device
Apple will provide a cash payment of approximately $25 per eligible device, provided that Apple will not pay more than $500 million in aggregate to the Settlement Class Members. The cash payment per eligible device depends on the actual number of approved claims and other factors, including the award of attorneys’ fees and expenses and Named Plaintiff service awards.
To receive a cash payment, you must submit a claim here by October 6, 2020.
Conclusion
Most people that owned an iPhone up to 2017 should be eligible to receive a cash payment. You can get up to $25 per eligible device, depending on how many claims are filed. You can read more details about this settlement here.

Based on what they did, they should be sued for well into the billions and are getting off light at 500 million.
Future criminals: take note and remember the rule:
Steal in the billions.
Pay 1-5% penalty depending on how many politicians you own.
And remember: putting politicians on the board is the easiest way to own them.
Not me – my family has 4 IPhones on our account and have for years. However we went from IPhone 5 versions to IPhone 8 (regular and max) to IPhone 10/11 devices. Never owned any IPhone 7s since considered them subpar and not worth the upgrade.
Guess a good thing I skipped that generation of devices
