Laughlin Casino Tour – Part 2
Check out the first part of our Laughlin casino tour.
Laughlin, Nevada and it’s Strip of casinos sit just about 90 minutes from Las Vegas. The town sits right on the Colorado River just across from Bullhead City, Arizona and is a popular summer time hangout for water junkies and their slot loving companions. Retirees tend to fill the casinos and rooms the rest of the year.
Despite being a very small town, Laughlin has 10 hotels and over 10,000 rooms waiting for tourists. I visited here a few times when I was a kid and the town hasn’t changed all that much. The casinos have seemingly all gone through many owners and names, but Laughlin is still Laughlin. What does that mean? Let me show you!
Last week I published part 1 of my Laughlin Strip tour and I highly suggest checking that out first! This week we’ll tour the other four major casinos plus jump out on the water for a view you’ll never get in Vegas! Check it out above!
Quirky Casinos, Brutal Sun & Lots of Water!
Laughlin is a town that is unique among gambling meccas. It feels sort of like a mix between Atlantic City and Biloxi, but it also has close ties to its neighbor Las Vegas. No doubt the town has seen better days, but its summer water activities and year round gambling keep it on the map as a destination for some.

Interesting stuff. I’d love a comparison between Laughlin and Las Vegas in a future post. Is it easy to walk between casinos like Fremont street or a long slog between like the strip? Does Laughlin go for the resort fees that Las Vegas so cherishes and how do room prices compare bottom line? I love the river and swimming aspect. Any places besides Harrah’s that have really nice beaches? With value having become more and more scarce in Vegas, does Laughlin offer good value or is it just Tunica with a river that’s cleaner? Sorry for the 20 questions, answer whichever (if any) you like.
