Avoiding checked bags is normally a good when possible. You avoid any possible extra fees, you save time since you don’t have to wait to pick up your bags, and above all, you don’t have to worry about the airline losing your luggage.

Lost luggage can definitely ruin a trip or vacation, and depending on the airline you’re traveling with, your chances of losing your luggage vary widely. Stacker has ranked the top 10 worst airline when it comes to lost and damaged luggage. Most of airlines in the list are smaller regional carriers. But there are some major airlines in there as well, including the one that takes the top spot.

Southwest, Delta, Alaska and American Airlines are some of the larger carriers included in the list. If you’re flying American, your chances that your luggage will be lost or damaged are almost twice as high, compared to traveling with Southwest.

Conclusion
