  1. A city like Las Vegas is almost entirely dependent on tourism revenue for its survival, so it’s easy to see why they want to open up as quickly and completely as possible. However, the fact that hotels and casinos are very lax in their enforcement of distancing, the use of masks and other safety procedures is very concerning. People fly in, spend a few days and fly out and it will be impossible to know how many people actually get infected with Covid while in Vegas, through other guests or employees because it takes 10-12 days before symptoms occur. Therefore, Vegas will appear to be safer than it probably is, because the cases which started there won’t be accounted for as originating in Vegas.

    • It will be interesting to see how it plays out and if there is a spread in Vegas as well as back home for visitors. I really hope there isn’t but I don’t have high hopes on that.
