We stayed at the HR Orlando the same week as Shawn. It was our first Globalist stay and with 5 of us, we got so much food from the market! (A little sad to hear that’s not the norm) We also paid cash for a suite that would fit the 5 of us and it was less than $150. Our cabana was free too, but that was because they kept messing up the bill and adding extra days, so they finally just refunded it all, which I was happy with, we had great service there overall. I’m guessing since you didn’t mention it that you left before the female body building contest on the weekend?
When you guys were discussing emailing hotel general managers for upgrading stays- what’s the advice on the best time to make that request? We’re looking at a 3 night stay at a Hilton resort, standard room in the main hotel for our dates is $176 or 46k points per night. Room in the adults only wing we’d prefer to stay in is $205/night or 82k points per night… I’d gladly pay the $29 extra, but the 36k/night is a bit tougher to part with. Hilton dynamic pricing is maddening sometimes.

I personally reach out like a week before the stay.
