New Southwest Routes and Schedule Extension

Southwest Airlines today extended its flight schedule through early August, bringing new international service and growth throughout its network.

The carrier’s full schedule of service through August 4, 2024, is now available for purchase at Southwest.com.

Booking advanced reservations on Southwest can be difficult since the schedule is normally only available on average about 6-7 months out. Now, with this latest schedule extension, you can start planning your travels throughout most of the summer.

Check out more details about new routes below.

  1. What is not mentioned here is that this new international service from MCO is replacing FLL service. Effective June 4th, Southwest drops all of the nonstop international destinations from FLL except for Montego Bay. They are showing they can’t compete in the FLL market with Spirit and JetBlue (and AA via MIA). Havana is also dropped and not moved to MCO… it will only be reached via TPA.
