Ninja Tricks: Macy’s Stack Deals for 70% Off
I got a notification from RetailMeNot that they are offering $15 Cashback on purchases of $30 or more. That’s a 50% discount on anything at Macy’s, which is pretty amazing. But it gets even better because Macy’s is running some great sales and offering additional promo codes for 25% off on top of Macy’s Star Rewards which now allows you to participate even if you don’t have a Macy’s Credit Card.

- I used an Amex Offer for $15 back on $100 purchase of the gift card but there are offers for 2-12% off currently.
- Potential rewards from Macy’s Star Rewards
Here’s How it Works
First start out at RetailMeNot in a fresh browser and make sure you’re starting with an empty cart. Click the cashback link and activate the Macy’s offer. RetailMeNot will open a new window at the Macy’s homepage. There are a few different promotions going on and if you end up purchasing more than $50 in merchandise you are eligible for Star Rewards.

Example
I’m using a real life example because I really like this jumpsuit and have no fashion sense so not having to match a top and bottom works really well for me. Though if I were looking to save the most money possible, I would have purchased something that would get me closer to $30 of merchandise because the max discount of 50% is at the minimum required spend.
As you can see below, the original price of the Jumpsuit is $108 and it’s already on sale. I do not consider the original retail price in my calculation because Macy’s has regular sales and you should always be able to get at least 10-15% off, so I’ll start with the sale price of the item. When I add in the 25% promo code, the total becomes $48.60. I then paid with a gift card that I purchased during the last round of Macy’s Amex Offers for 15% off.
Math
$64.80 (less 25% Discount)
$48.60 (less 15% discounted Gift Card)
$41.31 (less $15 cashback)
$26.31 Effective Price Paid

Conclusion
As you can see, I’m getting an adorable outfit for around $25. This was not the best savings available, but sometimes we just don’t have the time to maximize every deal. If you had maximized the deal in it’s entirety, you could have ended up with $40 in merchandise for $12.75 (that would me using the 25% discount, $15 Cashback and a 15% off Gift Card.) Another variation would be to utilize the Star Rewards Bonuses.

Thank you, got some shoes with the $15 boost.
Awesome! I should probably get one or two more jumpsuits before it ends haha
Fancy!
Sorry for coming late to the party. what was the deal on the discounted gift cards? was it a in store amex offer and you purchased Macy’s gift cardsm
No, I purchased the gift card on line using an Amex Offer. Generally the department store gift card offers are triggered by online purchases. If gift cards won’t work, it will say excluded in the terms
