Orlando Sheraton Vacation Club Offer

Orlando Sheraton Vacation Club Offer

Over the weekend, ironically while I was in Orlando for the MtM Diamond meetup, I received an Orlando Sheraton vacation club offer for a stay in Orlando.  The offer came via USPS but it looks like you may be able to get it as well, more on that later.  Let’s take a look at the details.

Sheraton Vistana Villages Vacation Offer Details

Here are the details for the Orlando Sheraton Vacation Club offer:
  • 5 days / 4 nights in a one bedroom villa at Sheraton Vistana Villages
  • 15,000 Marriott Bonvoy points or a $100 gift card to Planet Hollywood restaurant in Disney Springs.
  • Required to attend a 90-120 minute presentation
  • The package cost is $269

Breaking Down The Offer’s Value

Let’s take a look at what this offer can bring you in net value.
  • Room cost for 4 nights $600
    • I did some fake bookings and the cash cost ranged from $576 – $769. So let’s call it $600 in value.
    • The points cost was around 200,000 points during my searches but that would add a 5th night free as well. Even with the 5th night free points don’t seem to be a great value here.
  • Marriott Bonvoy points are worth $0.0067 per our miles and points valuation guide. 15,000 points would be worth $100.50 at that rate.  Plug in your own valuations for Bonvoy points though.  I would probably value the gift card at less than $100. But if you don’t like Bonvoy, or want more of their points, you are not giving up a ton with that option.

That comes out to $700 in value for $269 out of pocket cost. Is $430 in “freebies” worth two hours of your time? Some will say yes and others will say no.

My Plan – Ask For More

If you have learned nothing from my timeshare presentation posts you hopefully learned at least this, always ask for more! I have been able to get more points, or a better room etc., in the past simply by asking when I call in.  My plan is to ask for a two bedroom villa for the same price.  I imagine they will come back with a higher cost up front but maybe I can whittle them down if I play hardball. I’ll let everyone know how it goes. Maybe they will offer up another 10,000 points or a room with a balcony etc. instead, but I know they will offer something.

Try To Get The Timeshare Offer Yourself

At the bottom of the offer it says to call 855-431-8230 or to email sheratonoffer@sheratonvacationclub.com. You may be able to get a similar offer to Orlando, or to somewhere else, by reaching out and saying that you are interested in doing a presentation.

Orlando Sheraton Vacation Club Offer – Final Thoughts

This offer is decent but not great. It is no Hyatt Hawaii offer, that is for sure! What I do like is that they are saying the room will be at the timeshare property. Usually they book you in a local hotel in a standard room instead. That does come with some nice unintended benefits but the timeshare properties are normally like condos instead of hotel rooms. For a 4 night stay a living room and kitchen area would be a nice plus. Hopefully I can get that second bedroom out of them for around the same out of pocket price.  Instead of ABC (always be closing) it is AAFM (always ask for more) with timeshare offers.

Did anyone else get the Orlando Sheraton Vacation Club offer? I wish it was one of the ones without the presentation required though.
