Planes Struggle to Land During Wind Gusts this Weekend
I wanted to share a link with you that has some amazing footage of what some airline pilots had to fight through this weekend when trying to land on the East Coast. There where huge gusts of wind early this weekend which toppled semis and pushed planes sideways as they tried to land.

You can watch the videos here on Washington Examiner
Some of the airline pilot’s post-flight reports said that basically everyone on the plane got sick during the landing process.
Scary stuff!
Conclusion
I am shocked that they didn’t divert the planes sooner. It is a miracle everyone made it home safety. Mother nature takes no prisoners!

It wasn’t just Washington, although it was by far the worst. I had the misfortune of being booked to fly to Reagan from Hartford with a departure of 7:19pm. Most of the flights out of Hartford cancelled, mine ultimately took off at at10:30pm. I thought it would cancel when as the plane was getting ready to land, we were told they had to abort and come around again due to high winds. After the plane deplaned, we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for them to check the wings for wind shear.
Scary stuff!
