Schwab Investor Card Sign Up Bonus Offer has Returned
A little while back American Express pulled the Schwab Investor card’s bonus offer. It has returned with a decent sign up bonus but it is still a below average card overall. There are also a few hoops you need to jump through in order to get it.
Card Details
The Schwab investor card is a cash back earning card. It earns a flat rate of 1.5% cash back. The sign up bonus, which runs until 8/15/18 is for:
- $200 card statement credit after $2,000 in spend within the first 3 months
The card has no annual fee and comes with a 0% APR offer on purchases and transfers for the first 6 months.

Eligibility Requirements
In order to be eligible for the card you need to have a Schwab account. Many of you already will have a checking account with them because it offers on of the best travel checking accounts on the market. And an account is needed for the Schwab Platinum card as well.
The Schwab checking account currently has a $100 sign up bonus. Be aware that it is a hard pull when applying for one of their accounts. That fact may steer some away from this. Potentially 2 hard pulls for $300 is tough to swallow.
Conclusion
This isn’t a great card but it does get Amex Offers and has no annual fee. The $200 credit after $2000 in spend is decent for a cash bonus but not anything special. I would put this card as a pass but it may work out for some people.

Is this a Credit or Charge card?
I am almost positive it is a credit card which makes it even less valuable since it takes up an Amex slot
