Register for Small Business Saturday 2014

A while back American Express announced the details of their Small Business Saturday campaign for 2014. This year, you can receive up to 3 $10 credits per American Express card when shopping at a small business on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (November 29, 2014). What a great deal.

In order to be eligible for the credits, you must register your American Express cards ahead of time and the number of registrations is limited. Thankfully we now know when registration will begin.

Points, Miles & Martinis is reporting that registration will begin on 11/16/2014 at Midnight MST. You should be able to register at Shopsmall.com, on the “Offers for You” tab when you login to your American Express account or their app, or via Twitter by tweeting #AmexShopSmall.

Conclusion

Remember it is always a good idea to register as soon as possible since the number of registrations is limited. Also don’t forget that both Bluebird and Serve cards are eligible this year as well.   2. FYI – my suspicion was correct. The registration began at midnight (MT) tonight. Got all my cards registered! Looking forward to SBS!

  3. I never registered last year. Do you know how to register your Bluebird card? It sounds like it’s just a usual Amex Offer for regular cards but since Bluebird’s online account looks totally different I can’t imagine how it would be done.

  5. Hi Shawn – hope your trip is going well. This will be the first Small Business Saturday that I’ll be enjoying. 🙂 Based upon your experience, how quickly does one need to jump on registering cards for this promo? I know that I’m going to be tied up at noon MT on Sunday. So, if that is indeed the time, I might be about an hour late logging-in. What do you think my chances are? If not good, then I might need to think about finding myself a proxy to do the registering for me!
