Chase has a new bonus for checking and savings accounts that will earn you Southwest Rapid Rewards points. This is a targeted offer that was posted by Doctor of Credit and has been sent by email. It requires a unique code in order to apply.

Here’s what you need to do in order to earn the bonus:
- Open a new Chase Total checking account and get 30,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points after you set up direct deposit within 60 days.
- Open a new Chase savings account and get 20,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points after you deposit a total of $15,000+ in new money within 20 business days, and maintain a $15,000 balance for 90 days.

- The Southwest Rapid Rewards points transferred to you under the terms of the Program are considered interest so you will receive a Form 1099-INT
Conclusion
We often see a $600 bonus and a 60K UR bonus from Chase. This targeted offer gets you 50,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points instead. The cash bonus if probably more preferable. But, what makes this Southwest offer interesting is that you’re almost halfway to a Companion Pass.
