Southwest Rapid Rewards Dining & Bonus Offer
Southwest Rapid Rewards has a new bonus out which allows members to receive up to 2,000 bonus Rapid Rewards points. Rapid Rewards points are worth 1.4 cents each, meaning this bonus is potentially worth $28.
The Offer
- Register by January 15, 2015.
- Earn 1,000 bonus points when you enroll your Rapid Rewards Credit Card into the Rapid Rewards Dining Program, then spend a minimum of $25 at a participating restaurant, bar or club within 30 days of enrollment, and post a review within 30 days of dining.
- Get more bonus points. From the time you enroll through January 15, 2015, we will match each point you earn with Rapid Rewards Dining and Rapid Rewards Shopping.2 Earn a maximum of 500 bonus points on each.
Registration & Terms
This promotion is targeted to Southwest credit card holders and may not work for everyone. The terms say, “Only the Rapid Rewards® Member who received this e-mail/offer from Southwest Airlines® is eligible for this promotion. Offer is nontransferrable. Member must register for this promotion between December 1, 2014 and January 15, 2015.”
With that said, you can find the full details and register for the promotion here. If you have not been targeted for the promotion it really is YMMV whether or not they will honor the bonus or not.
Analysis
Even if you only go for the first 1,000 bonus points this seems to be a good deal. 1,000 bonus points are worth about $14, meaning you would be getting over a 50% rebate on your first dine. If you do a lot of dining/shopping, being able to earn the additional 500 points in each category may be a good thing.
Personally I will probably just do the $25 dine and review and forget about the other offers unless a great portal bonus comes out. Who knows with the way things have been going lately.
Conclusion
This is a great deal for Rapid Rewards members who were targeted. There are a lot of eligible restaurants in my area that I frequent, so completing the first task is a no-brainer for me. If you weren’t targeted but have the co-branded card, you may want to register, but know that they may not honor the deal. Good luck!

I received an offer for 2,000 Rapid Rewards Bonus Points if I signed up and review a restaurant on the list. I am now ready to write my review but have cannot find where I write my review on-line. I will know spend valuable time on hold for someone to assist. Thus said, I am enjoying being a Rapid Rewards Member.
