Southwest Schedule Extension

Southwest Schedule Extension

Southwest Airlines today extended its flight schedule into early Summer of next year, allowing customers to begin booking their travel for more than 8 months out.

The carrier’s full schedule of service through June 3, 2024, is now available for purchase at Southwest.com.

Booking advanced reservations on Southwest can be difficult since the schedule is normally only available on average about 6-7 months. Now, with this latest schedule extension, you can start planning your Memorial Day 2024 weekend getaways, and other late spring and early summer travel at

Southwest also announced today that effective April 9, 2024, it will add new nonstop service between Washington (Dulles) and Phoenix (available Mondays, Thursdays-Sundays).

Three seasonal flights return to the schedule as well. Beginning April 13, 2024, the airline will resume previously operated seasonal service on the weekends between Houston (Hobby) and Charlotte, N.C. The next day, Sunday-only service will resume between Dallas and Portland, Ore., as well as Atlanta and Oakland, Calif.

Conclusion

Hopefully checking the schedule early will result in some discounted flight bookings. It is probably wise to book early and don’t forget to check regularly to see if the price drops so you can get a refund, especially during promotions.
