Spirit Will Fly to Tulum’s New Airport
Spirit Airlines has announced the launch of nonstop service toĀ Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport (TQO) in Tulum, Mexico. Daily flights from Fort LauderdaleĀ (FLL) andĀ Orlando (MCO) will launch on March 28, 2024, in conjunction with the start of international service at the bran-new airport.
“TulumĀ is an increasingly popular choice for leisure travelers, and our direct flights fromĀ FloridaĀ will make a getaway toĀ Mexico’sĀ enchanting coastline more accessible than ever, just in time for spring break,” saidĀ John Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning at Spirit Airlines. “We have a long history of servingĀ Mexico, andĀ Tulum’sĀ new airport is a great addition that will make it easier for our Guests to get to the city and enjoy its beaches, history, and variety of unique experiences.”
In celebration of the newĀ TulumĀ service, Spirit is offering introductory one-way fares from FLL and MCO to TQO starting atĀ $149, inclusive of taxes and fees. Guests can redeem the introductory fare for travel fromĀ April 10Ā āĀ May 21, 2024. 21-day advanced purchase required. There are no blackout dates, and no day of week restrictions.
The addition of nonstop flights toĀ Tulum brings Spirit’s international service at FLL to 26 destinations and MCO to 11 destinations. FloridaĀ serves as a gateway to the carrier’s flights toĀ Latin AmericaĀ and theĀ Caribbean.
