Targeted Southwest Offer That Will Help With Companion Pass Or A-List Status

A couple of members of the Miles to Memories team received an email for a targeted offer.  The offer comes with 3 choices that can help you earn bonus Rapid Rewards points, companion pass points or A-List status points.  It is similar to their bank bonus with Chase where you could choose from multiple options.

Offer Details

The email subject line is:
  • (Your Name), you’ve got three great offers to choose from
    • You can also check your special promotions section when logged in
Offer Options
  • Register for only one of the offers below, and then book and fly at least one one-way flight between May 24 -July 31, 2021, and the offer is yours.
  • Offer 1: Earn 3X Rapid Rewards® bonus points on your qualifying flight
  • Offer 2: Earn 10,000 Companion Pass® qualifying points* (CPQPs) toward Companion Pass benefits
  • Offer 3: Earn 10,000 tier qualifying points* (TQPs) toward A-List status

Using Southwest Rapid Rewards

Offer Terms

Tier qualifying points (“TQPs”) and Companion Pass qualifying points (“CPQPs”) cannot be redeemed for travel or be transferred, donated, or redeemed through More Rewards. TQPs and CPQPs are only available toward A-List status and Companion Pass qualifying balances for the 2021 calendar year. TQPs or CPQPs will be awarded within 72 hours after completion of the qualifying flight. Once TQPs or CPQPs adjustment has been awarded, the qualifying points will be added to your A-List status or Companion Pass progress bars. TQPs or CPQPs adjustment will not display as a separate transaction within your points activity. TQPs and CPQPs do not earn Rapid Rewards points.

Final Thoughts

If you have a flight during this time frame, and were targeted, then be sure to sign up for one of these options.  If you are chasing a Companion Pass or A-List status then this could be just what you need.  Even 3X points is better than nothing if you already had a flight planned. It may even be worth booking a cheap flight somewhere if either 10K bonus options would put you over the top for the companion pass or status.
