Earlier this year I covered Kayak’s Travel Hacker’s guide to 2015. That guide covered top 10 lists of destinations and also had a number of travel trends. You could also see when was the best time to book per region and what to expect to pay for airfare.
Kayak has now brought that same idea to this Holiday season. What are the top 10 holiday escapes this year based on airfares dropping? How about Belize City? Airfares to capital of Belize are 20% lower this year compared to last year. Hong Kong is also a deal with 29% lower fares compared to 2014.
Want to know when the best time is to book a Thanksgiving flight? According to Kayak for flights to North America, you should book at least two weeks in advance and the average median flight is $383 roundtrip. Not surprisingly the best date to travel is on Thanksgiving itself. They also have data for flights from the U.S./Canada other continents during the holiday as well.
There is also a ton of other data including similar information for Christmas and New Year’s as well as top trending holiday travel destinations. Rio de Janeiro is 35% more popular for New Year’s than last year. Vegas didn’t even make the list. 🙁
