Upgrade Offers for Amex EveryDay Cards

American Express is sending out upgrade offers to Amex EveryDay and Blue Cash Everyday cardholders. These offers show up online, either on top of the page or in the Amex Offers section. You might also get an email.

The Offers

  • Earn a 25,000 Membership Rewards points when you upgrade your card to Amex EveryDay Preferred. Offer valid after you spend $2,000 in purchases within 3 months
  • Earn a $150 statement credit when you upgrade your card to Blue Cash Preferred. Offer valid after you spend $1,000 in purchases within 3 months.

Conclusion

A nice upgrade offer from American Express, especially if you plan to maximize the supermarket category spend with the Blue Cash Preferred Card. However it is targeted so you need to have received an email, or see the offers in your account to qualify.

You will get the upgrade bonus even if you’ve had these cards in the past, plus it won’t count as another card towards Chase’s 5/24.
