That can be an office supply store or a supermarket for example. But one issue has been that Amazon limits what you can buy with your gift card balance.

Now there’s good news for those that prefer to use Amazon gift cards. Amazon has made a positive change and will let you use your gift card balance to pay for your Amazon Prime membership and for Amazon Video subscriptions.

To enable this setting for your Amazon Prime membership, just go here and click “Update your payment method.”

Then scroll down to the end of the list of cards that you have in your account and check the box for “Use your gift card balance when available.”
