Three Fantastic Deals
I love this time of year because the deals tend to come full force. Also, Amex seems to release a ton of great offers as well. Here are a few great deals to start your Friday morning including a great Kohl’s discount!
$5 Off $10 At the Starbucks Store
American Express has a new offer giving $5 back with a $10 or more purchase at the Starbucks online store. You should be able to register on the My Offers section of your online account or you can Tweet #AmexStarbucks.
The terms exclude the purchase of gift cards, however that has not always been enforced in the past. Additionally, a few brands are excluded. You can see the full terms in the screenshot.
Best Buy $25 off $250
Amex Offers also has a new promotion for Best Buy offering $25 off the purchase of $250. Best Buy sells a variety of gift cards, meaning this could be a moneymaker or you can simply get a 10% on gift cards for your favorite store.
You can register for this in your My Offers tab or by tweeting #AmexBestBuy.
Stack Coupons for More Than 50% Off at Kohl’s
Kohl’s is offering $10 off a $25 purchase by using the code VETSDAY10. They also have 20% off for Kohl’s cardholders with the code FALL20 or 15% off with code THANKS746. I haven’t been able to find a free shipping code, but they are offering free shipping on orders of $50 or more.
If you combine the $10 and the $20 off, a $25 purchase becomes $12. That is a great deal! Of course you do have shipping to deal with. I will let you know if I find a free shipping code.
Also remember that Kohl’s is offering 5% back through their Yes2You Rewards program and ShopDiscover is giving $10% portal cashback as well. Here is a sample deal not factoring in tax.
- Purchase Price $25
- Vets Day Coupon: -$10
- 20% Off: $3
- Final cost: $12 + shipping
- Portal cashback – $1.20
- Yes2You Value: $.60
- FINAL COST: $10.20 + shipping/tax
- FINAL DISCOUNT %: 59.2%
You could also buy $73 worth of merchandise to get free shipping. Here is how that would work.
- Purchase Price: $73
- Vets Day Coupon $-10
- 20% Off: $12.60
- Final Cost: $50.40
- Portal Cashback: $5.04
- Yes2You Value: $2.52
- FINAL COST: $42.84 + tax
- Final Discount %: 41.3%
The decision whether or not to go for the free shipping depends on the cost for your item. Also keep in mind if you are not paying with a Kohl’s card, that the discount is 15% instead of 20% and if you don’t have a Discover card then the second best portal cashback is through uPromise at 5%.
As always it is best to do your own math based on your own situation to see if this is a great deal for your or not. In my situation, it is!
Conclusion
These are three great deals to get you in the holiday shopping mood. Have a great Friday!

Unless something changed, you can get free shipping with no order minimum when ordering through the in-store kiosk.
(For Kohl’s, that is.)
Yes that should still work. Thanks for sharing. I had forgot about the kiosk.
