Virgin Red and Synchrony has teamed up to launch a the new Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard®. The is a first of its kind credit card that earns points that can be used for cruises, flights, hotels and more.

  • 3X Virgin Points on purchases with Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Hotels and Virgin Voyages.

  • 1X Virgin Points on all other purchases.

The list of benefits includes:

  • Third night free after booking two nights at a participating Virgin Hotel once a year.

Conclusion

The signup bonus is not very enticing, but you can add up to four authorized users, which would bump the bonus up to 50,000.

Earning rates are not great either, but you do get some benefits that could be useful for those who travel or vacation with Virgin.

  1. Looks interesting if one wants to pursue getting a status with Virgin Atlantic or Sky Team. Also, need to see more details on the companion voucher and the upgrade certs. Is the companion voucher available on paid and/or award ticket? And are the vouchers more like AA SWUc or DL GUCs?
