Win 60,000 AA Miles, An Apartment in Paris & Help The Troops!

There is a promotion going on right now that we wanted to make you aware of.  The offer comes from the Armed Services YMCA which is a great program that helps support our troops on the front lines and their families. They offer enlisted military members, and their families, a ton of assistance and programs for no cost. They offer after school activities, learning assistance programs plus they help get enlisted military members home for the holidays. Donations from corporations and everyday people like you and me make this possible. They have a promotion going on right now where you could win 60,000 AA miles and an apartment in Paris for Valentine’s Day weekend if you pledge your support of $5 a month.

Details On The Offer & The Armed Services YMCA

Here is a message from the Armed Services YMCA:

Help feed military families and earn a chance to win 60,000 American Airlines miles and a week’s accommodations in a studio apartment in Paris for Valentine’s Day 2021.

Thanks to a generous donation from American Airlines and a Paris Vacation Apartments, we are looking to recruit a generous group of people to join our monthly giving program, the Valor Corps, to help provide sustainable support to the Armed Services YMCA – one of the country’s oldest military service organizations.

Prior to COVID-19, military spouses were unemployed at a rate 6 times higher than their civilian counterparts, putting tremendous financial stress on these families. Imagine what that looks now with reports of unemployed hitting 15-25% in certain parts of the country.

As a result, Armed Service YMCA is seeing a four to fivefold increase in need for emergency food assistance at its branches. A $5 monthly donation, the cost of a cup of coffee at the airport, can provide two meals to a military family. A small gift with a big impact.

My Thoughts

I have always had a soft spot for helping the troops and their families. They sacrifice so much for us and I think this is a great way to help out.

If you are interested in donating I would set it up on a sock drawer card that you would like to keep active. This ensures that you will have a $5 charge on it each and every month.  With the economy trending downwards it is likely that banks start to look into closing dormant accounts. This is a great move to keep an older card active and keep your FICO score up.
