World of Hyatt Globalist Welcome Kit Unboxing
Hyatt’s brand new World of Hyatt loyalty program launched this week. While it has been a controversial change for the company, Hyatt is making a big push to promote World of Hyatt. This push started with an interesting ad which aired during the Academy Awards and continues with new marketing materials and a website design.
As part of the rollout, World of Hyatt sent members a packet featuring their new World of Hyatt card and information about the new program. It came in a nice World of Hyatt branded envelope.
As you can tell by the ripped envelope, I was excited to see what was inside! The first thing I noticed was a letter from Hyatt Vice President Jeff Zidell.
I was also quite impressed with the tropical look of the brand new World of Hyatt card. Gone are the colored tiers/cards of the old program. Now, your tier is highlighted. I personally love the elephant on the World of Hyatt logo!
The backside of the letter and card housing show images that reinforce their “worldly” marketing campaign.
In addition to what you see above, there are 2 X two-sided documents which detail the new World of Hyatt program including all of the relevant information that most members need to know.
Finally, Globalist members receive 2 free United Club passes each year. This is a good perk and one I have personally been able to use when I am in an airport with a United Club but no other lounge I have access to. For example, when flying Southwest from SNA last year I was able to use the United Club when my Prestige wouldn’t get me into the Admiral’s Club.
Conclusion
I am not a huge fan of the changes that have come with World of Hyatt, but I do like the “look” of the new program. Of course when something is shiny and new, but lacks the value and substance of the old program, it is hard to get too excited!

[…] World of Hyatt Globalist Welcome Kit “Unboxing” […]
Well I received my package in the mail yesterday, a big disappointment , very cheap packaging.
What I can not understand why I will not get a Globalist statuse when Ibspend $50K / year.
I was a big fan of Hyatt before, but with the new changes I really don’t know.
I found this article from goggling. As a former Diamond from biz travel I really don’t know what this program is offering or where its going with this. The hotels are nice but I think Marriott is my new brand, I tried it and now with the new Marriott replacing the tired spg hotels I don’t see a reason to stick with Hyatt and learn a new thing, if I am gonna lean a new chain I might as well just switch to another bigger chair anyways.
I got a fancy diamond-studded rubber band bracelet. Well, at least part of that.
Shawn you missed the most important part of the welcome package.

Mine didn’t have a bracelet/rubber band! 🙁 Between this and some people getting the wrong packets it seems quality control wasn’t quite a priority.
I haven’t received the welcome package in the three years that I have been a diamond. I’ve heard that many people have had the same problem.
Ditto
Received my Globalist packet as well. Short of some miraculous Q4 double-stay promo or status match, it might be my last.
well I’m a globalist but got a explorist package. Total fail
