Amex Giving Annual Fee Credits to More Business Cardholders

This morning Mark wrote about American Express sending out $200 thank you credits to some Business Platinum cardholders. But as we noted a few days ago, American Express is giving annual fee credits to more cardholders. Now we are seeing these credits for Delta, Marriott and Hilton business cards as well.

Here’s what I have seen so far:

  • Business Platinum – $200 statement credit
  • Delta Reserve Business – $125 statement credit
  • Delta Platinum Business – $75 statement credit
  • Hilton Honors Business – $50 statement credit
  • Marriott Bonvoy Business – $50 statement credit

These credits are probably showing up for cardholders whose anniversary is coming up in the next months. You could receive an email, or you can check your accounts for a banner showing the annual fee credit.

Let me know if you see credits on any other cards. Hopefully we see something similar for personal cards as well.

Conclusion

It’s great to see American Express give something to cardholders who will have to pay an annual fee soon during these conditions. It is a small portion of the annual fee, but if you were already debating if it’s worth keeping an Amex card, an extra credit might away you. Add the additional benefits that Amex has added through the end of the year, and the decisions could be easier.

Let us know if you will renew your Amex cards!

  1. My Delta Platinum Business Card fee posted and I called to inquire about retention offer reduced fee but no offers so downgraded to the gold business. The companion pass was not worth it for me. I tried booking round trip to Tampa and LAX from NY, NJ, CT, airports and could not find for dates needed.

  2. Hmm, interesting. My wife’s annual $125 fee for her Amex Bonvoy Biz card was just due on 1, May and I was debating whether to keep or cancel and chose to keep at the last minute. Didn’t see anything about this fee credit etc. I’ll have to log back into her account to see. Mine is due sometime soon (either today or on the 7th) so I’ll also have to take a look.

    Hopeful that we receive them.
