Amex Green Card 60K Welcome Offer

The Amex Green card was revamped recently and has until now offered a welcome bonus of 45,000 Membership Rewards points. But now we are seeing some amazing welcome offers available through referral links and possibly even the public link on the American Express website. The offers vary, and you might need to open links in a clean browser. The best available offer is 60K bonus points with $2K spend. Let’s see the details.

Update 10/2/2020: More people are seeing the 60K offer through referrals. Worth another check if you weren’t able to get it last month. Also keep in mind that you can now earn an extra 3X when you refer people.

The Offers

The offers that are showing up in recent days are as follows:

  • Earn 60,000 Membership Rewards Points after you spend $2,000 on purchases on your new Card in your first three months.

Application Tips

Even if you see these increased offers for the Amex Green Card, you might not be eligible for the welcome offer. Here’s some important information about applying for Amex cards.

  • Welcome offer not available to applicants who have or have had this Card. Here’s how you can check if you’re not sure. We may also consider the number of American Express Cards you have opened and closed as well as other factors in making a decision on your welcome offer eligibility.
  • If you’re an existing American Express customer they will only do a soft pull for new card applications.
  • Amex now has a tool that lets you know if you qualify for the welcome offer during the application process.
  • American Express has a limit of one approved credit card every 5 days and two approved cards every 90 days. However, the Amex Green Card is not a normal credit card, so you can combine the application with another Amex card. Unlike typical credit cards that have a credit limit, the Green card has no preset spending limit

Conclusion

This are some great offers for the Amex Green Card, which even rival offers we see for the Gold and Platinum card. If you see the 60K offer and are eligible for it, then it can be a big opportunity to get a big chunk of Membership Rewards points. If you can also get a referral bonus of up to 30K, then it gets much better.
