Amex Planning Big Changes to the Hilton Business Card?
American Express is asking some cardholders for feedback on several possible versions of a revamped Hilton Honors American Express Business Card. While surveys don’t guarantee that any changes will actually take place, they often provide an early look at what Amex is considering.
The concepts being tested would raise the card’s annual fee from its current level to somewhere between $195 and $395, with each version adding different combinations of statement credits, Hilton perks and spending incentives to the higher fee.
Among the benefits being tested are:
- Up to $320 in annual Hilton statement credits
- A new $150 business services credit that could be used for purchases such as AI tools, online advertising, shipping, accounting software and cloud services
- Complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status, with the ability to earn Diamond status after $40,000 in annual spending
- One or two Free Night Rewards after meeting annual spending thresholds
- Annual room upgrade certificates valid for stays of up to two nights
- New incentives tied to Hilton for Business, including statement credits or bonus Hilton points after completing a certain number of stays
