Amex Platinum 100K Direct Link
Update:Â The offer is no longer available as of 7:47am Pacific on 5/10/16.
This past weekend I published a post detailing a possible way to get the Amex Platinum 100K offer to show up. A personal friend was able to get the offer on May 1 and I decided to share that information. Unfortunately it seems that none of you were able to replicate it and the best you were able to find was a 75K offer. Thankfully, now there is a direct link you can use to get the 100K offer if you are interested.
The Offer
- Earn 100,000 Membership Rewards after $3K spend in 3 months.
Key Terms
- Welcome bonus offer not available to applicants who have or have had this product.
- The annual fee of $450 is not waived.
Amex Platinum Benefits
This card has a ton of benefits, but the ones I use most are:
- Rental car elite status at National and others.
- Hilton HHonors Gold (for those who haven’t matched to Diamond).
- Amex Centurion lounge access
- Priority Pass lounge access
- $100 Global Entry Fee Credit
- $200 airline incidental reimbursement per calendar year. (Can possibly use for gift cards.)
Because of the above benefits and the fact that this is about as high as the bonus has gone on the personal card, I wouldn’t hesitate to sign-up if I hadn’t already had the card. The bonus alone is worth $1K-$2K depending on how you value Membership Rewards points.
Will This Last?
I am not sure if this link is meant to be made public, so there is no telling how long the application link will last. In the past Amex has pulled links relatively quickly when they get a huge influx of applications. Platinum 100K offers tend to be popular, so you may want to act fast if you are interested, though as always I caution against applying if you aren’t ready.
Direct Application Link
If you are interested in applying or are just looking to dig deeper into the terms, here is the direct application link. (HT: Reddit)

Look like you have to choose an airline to use $200 statement credit

Thanks for the tip! I also got the: “currently, our systems are not responding” message and then received instant approval email. Didn’t think I’d get approved since I just got the Mercedez Benz 75K offer last week.

That was fun getting approved. We closed my husbands card after 4-5 months and they prorated the AF and I think I will try again this time. Thanks for the tip.
Hot Damn Shawn! Just applied for my wife (I got one last Aug from your tip) and she was approved straight away. I didn’t get an error on the website, just the congrats approval message. Thanks for the tip!
Same thing here. Got the error message, immediately got the email approval!
Same here. Applied, loaded a bit, asked if i wanted another card, loaded some more, got the error message. Immediately got the email saying approved!
works like a charm, thanks so much!
Thanks so much!
my husband and I applied and were both approved. Which airline gift card can I purchase to trigger refund? Will egift card work? Should it be 1 @ $200 or 2 @$100?
Thanks in advance!
Go on flyertalk for the different airlines…each have different rules. Delta only goes for $50 credits where you can do $100 SW etc.
Can you use the $200 airline credit to just buy gift cards for one of the airlines?
You have more than redeemed yourself from the other 100k post. Thanks.
After 100+ hard click, incognito, close incognito cycles this weekend. This made my thumb happy. Thanks for the quick post, yours was first to my inbox. Now I need a post on setting up the card benefits. Thanks!
Dude. THANK YOU.
And to the above poster: the $450 af can be mitigated with the 2 X $200 airline fee credits.
Appreciate the response. You’ll have to excuse my newbie question but do you have a choice on the airline fee credits? I’m not in a position to be flying much over the next year or so and I’d like to find a gift card route I could then resell.
Get southwest or AA – you can resell to ABC for around 80% ($100 max per card). If you have the united MPX (or whatever) app you can get amazon gc through there I believe. Just google it or go to flyertalk people talk about it all the time but I don’t use united so I have no personal experience.
Holy… Just got approved. Was bummed I missed it last summer. Glad I didn’t jump on the MB one. 100K for 3k spend is awesome. I wish I wasn’t in the middle of my min spends for Ink and SPG bus but I’ll figure it out.
Thanks Shawn
Do you know if they will prorate an AF refund once you meet bonus requirements and receive your points? I thought I read somewhere of someone doing this, but could be mistaken. I want the 100k points but not interested in keeping the card.
Yes Amex prorates annual fees, but I am not 100% sure in the first year. I would personally just get $400 in gift cards the first year to offset the fee, although I know your situation is a bit different.
Thank you kind sir. I think that’s a good idea as well. Can probably just resell the gift cards to mitigate most of the AF 🙂
Applied; and was approved in 2 or 3 minutes!
Got a message: “Currently, our systems are not responding.
Please try again later or contact us to apply by phone.
Call Us: 1-800-223-2670.
We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to serving you.”
But seconds thereafter, received a confirmation via email.
Glad to hear you received the confirmation and congratulations!
Same thing for me. Got the error message, then received the confirmation email.
