Many people are reporting that they have been targeted with some very lucrative offers via the Cardmatch tool from CreditCards.com.

Specifically the two offers are:

  • Amerian Express Platinum Card – 100,000 Membership Rewards points after $3k in spending

Amex Platinum 100k

  • American Express Premier Rewards Gold – 50,000 Membership Rewards points after $3k in spending

Amex Platinum 100k

To see if you are targeted head over to the Cardmatch tool and enter your information. They do not do a hard credit check, but merely screen you for available targeted offers.

Analysis

I think the Platinum offer is really good while the Gold offer is just alright. To be fair and provide a little context, Amex does send out mailed targeted offers of 100k and even 150k very rarely, however most people don’t receive them.

While there has recently been a secret 100k bonus for the Platinum Business card and 75k bonus for the Business Gold card we haven’t seen an online offer like this for the personal Platinum card in quite some time.

Depending on how you value Membership Rewards points, the Platinum bonus could be worth $1,500-$2,000. The card does carry a $450 annual fee which is not waived, however it does come with a $200 annual airline credit each calendar year, lounge access, a $100 global entry credit, purchase and loss protection and a slew of other features.

Conclusion

This is a great deal that won’t last long. The last time a deal like this came around it was gone very quickly. Head over to the tool to see if you are one of the chosen ones!

  1. I used my offer last year but my Wife received both the offers @ cardmatch. The 100K Platinum looks good because she can get the $200 this year, next year and bail. She just got the IHG 80K w/ $50 credit last month so I’m not sure if she should wait another month or jump on this?

    • I wouldn’t wait just on the fact that she got the IHG card, but it is a personal decision. I will say that the 100k Cardmatch offer is very rare. I’m not sure how long it sticks around. It could be there in a month and it may not be. I have no advice to offer either way.

      • I think she would probably get instant approval even though she just got the IHG card recently. She has an awesome 833 score. I’m going to recommend she apply. 100K could net her some big miles w/ a bonus transfer.

  2. Ooh a Simmons Visa Platinum offer, with a 7.25% interest rate….. what do you think Shawn should I go for it, or maybe the First Premier card…. LOL it was worth a shot!
