American Express has released a new welcome bonus for the SPG Business credit card. The Offer

Earn 100,000 Bonus Points after you use your new Card to make $5,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of Card Membership.. Offer ends 10/31/2018.

Warning

American Express is strict when it comes to earning the welcome bonus. Guide: Amex Program Rules: Application Strategy, Card Limits and Difference Between Credit and Charge Cards. This is the fine print in the terms of the application for the SPG Business Card:

Bonus points will appear on your Starwood Preferred Guest statement 8–12 weeks after you reach the spend threshold. If we in our sole discretion determine that you have engaged in abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with the welcome bonus offer in any way or that you intend to do so (for example, if you applied for one or more cards to obtain a welcome bonus offer (s) that we did not intend for you; if you cancel or downgrade your account within 12 months after acquiring it; or if you cancel or return purchases you made to meet the Threshold Amount), we may not credit Starpoints to your account. We may also cancel this Card account and other Card accounts you may have with us.

Another Warning From the Fine Print

Effective 8/26, welcome offer not available to applicants who (i) have or have had the Marriott Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card from Chase or Marriott Rewards Business Credit Card from Chase in the last 30 days, (ii) have acquired The Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus Credit Card from Chase or The Marriott Rewards® Premier Credit Card from Chase in the last 90 days, or (iii) received a welcome offer in the last 24 months on The Marriott Rewards®Premier Plus Credit Card from Chase or The Marriott Rewards® Premier Credit Card from Chase.

Conclusion

If you have been looking at this credit card and if it fits within your overall plans, now may be the time to get the SPG Business card. Especially since you will be restricted if you received a bonus from one of the Chase Marriott cards in the last 24 months. I suspect many of you have already had this credit card and thus aren’t eligible for the bonus, but if you are take a look! As a business card, this should not count towards your 5/24 status.
