MtM Vegas – Aria Dirty Room

On this week’s MtM Vegas we have so much to talk about including my nasty stay at Aria in a shocking room plus why the crab at Caesars isn’t as good. Before we dive in don’t forget to subscribe to the Miles to Memories YouTube channel to see every episode plus our Vegas reviews, guides and tours!

  • New Vegas Podcast: Our new MtM Vegas podcast is now available. This week’s podcast is our Happy Hour livestream with Bethany Walsh from Bougie Miles. We go in-depth on my terrible Aria room, discuss some of the shows coming to Vegas and get excited for robotic dogs.

This Week’s MtM Vegas

Las Vegas may be slowing down a bit as Summer winds down, but the crowd levels are still pretty large even midweek. I was down on the Strip this week and will talk about my disastrous room at Aria, the crowd levels on the Strip and how Caesars Palace Bacchanal buffet is now that it has returned at a $75 cost.

Speaking of Caesars we will also dive into the construction and new entrance for the Strip icon, plus discuss the sale of an entire town outside of Vegas, where you can score a deal at Conrad if you hold an Amex Platinum card, all about Cosmo’s newest restaurant and take a look at Wynn’s latest bar renovation which is quite stunning.

Aria Dirty Room – Bottom Line

While the room at Aria was shocking and I still don’t understand how housekeeping has gone so downhill there, I did find the staff to be very good and the suite I was given was fine. And while Bacchanal too was fine I wish they’d bring back the pre-cut crab legs. Is that so much to ask? 🙂 What do you think?

  1. I have a Las Vegas trip planned in early October. I have been vaccinated (and had the booster), but I am entertaining the possibility of bailing. This is strictly because of the lesser expected enjoyment of the trip. What are your thoughts?

I’ve been there many times and everything is refundable, but it would be a bummer to lose the SWA tickets that I got for 50% off on the 50th anniversary (on points).

  2. Not sure if Aria and Cosmo can be in the same category, they cater to different groups. I agree that Aria has a lot of wear and tear that they need to address this with a renovation. Supposedly, they plan on renovating SkySuites but they should also do renovate their regular rooms while they’re at it.

I agree that RW should have a buffet too. They should offer a high quality buffet that you see at luxury hotels in Asia, especially since their main offices are in Malaysia. If they offer a high quality buffet with great seafood, meats, etc., I’m sure people will be willing to pay up to a $100-120/person price tag.

Also, it was probably me who found out about Conrad RW being a FHR property as I posted about it on FT before his tweet 😉
