I Was an Instacart Shopper. I Had Enough When Someone Gave Me a 1-Star Review for Too-Ripe Bananas. – Mother Jones

I found this write up pretty interesting, especially after experiencing some of what it is like delivering DoorDash.

Two things really stuck out with Instacart. Having just two non 5 star reviews out of 100 can make it so you miss all of the better jobs and cost you thousands. And people can pull back tips after delivery which is a way to make your delivery look better than it would be and trick people into taking it.

Russian immigrant paid $10,000 for a short taxi ride in San Francisco – The Saxon

This gave me similar vibes to my PayPal case but this was more dealing with Bank of America. I am shocked they were unwilling to reverse the charge to the taxi driver.

Covid tests ‘set to be scrapped’ for fully vaccinated travellers – Yahoo

The ever moving goal posts. This is for the United Kingdom – not sure why it isn’t in the title.

  1. I’m most shocked and disappointed in BoA for how they handled the $10,000 taxi ride. Why did the charge even go through in the first place? That was fraud plain and simple and the fact she had to fight for months to get the charges reversed, and only after a news outlet brought widespread attention to it, is insane.

  2. I’m surprised UK is dropping test requirements only for jabbed, as it’s pretty clear that the jab isn’t preventing transmission or illness in the jabbed population.
