Best Gift for the AvGeek In Your Life
Thanks to my good friend and crazy AvGeek RD, I found an article on Airliner News about great holiday gifts for AvGeeks. You can head over to the article for the full list, but here are my favorites along with direct links to purchase! (I have no financial relationship with any of these companies.)
Luv Seat Backpack, Duffel Bag & Convertible Tote
Made from recycled Southwest seat covers, these three items are currently available for preorder with an estimated 4-6 week wait time.
While they may not come in time for Christmas, I am sure your AvGeek loved one would be willing to wait. Here is an interesting video about how they are made.
Business Class Seats
For just shy of $1,600, MotoArt will sell you two Business Class seats to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. What a great and unique (but expensive) setup for a home theater!
IATA Code T-Shirts
What better way to represent your hometown than by wearing a shirt with your local airport’s IATA code! Ok this one is a little geeky, but you know you want one!
Fly Belts
Ok perhaps this one takes geekiness a little too far, but you can own your very own “fashion accessory” made from an airplane seatbelt. You can purchase a variety of colors to make sure your Fly Belt matches up with the rest of your attire.
Conclusion
While these are my favorites, the original list includes airplane models, a lamp made from engine parts, airline silverware and more. Check it out here and let me know in the comments which gifts are your favorites!

I like the IATA t shirt, ironically I got a license plate for my car recently that almost matched my IATA, completely coincidentally
