Better Bonuses for Delta Cards Through Referrals

American Express and Delta Air Lines are offering increased welcome bonuses on consumer Delta credit cards. These offers are available through select referrals. That means that you can also earn a referral bonus when applying. Let’s see the details of these three offers.

Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card

  • Earn 40,000 75,000 bonus miles after you spend $2,000 in purchases on your new Card within your first 6 months.
  • Annual Fee: $0 intro annual fee for the first year, then $99.

Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card

  • Earn 50,000 90,000 Bonus Miles and 10,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $3,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 6 months.
  • Annual Fee: $250

Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card

  • Earn 50,000 125,000 bonus miles and 10,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $5,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 6 months
  • Annual Fee: $550

How to Find Them?

As I mentioned above, these offers are showing up though select referral links. You can try generating referrals on different credit cards and see if you can get these offers to show up. You can also try opening referral links with different browsers, or with a clean browser window.

Conclusion

These three offers are a big improvement from what is currently available publicly on the American Express website. If you are applying through a friend’s or family member’s referral link, they will also get a referral bonus.

Trying a dummy booking is another option for improved Delta credit card offers. Just start booking a flight on the Delta site and on the payment page you should see an offer to sign up for a credit card. Normally you get some type of statement credit in addition to the current signup bonus.

  1. Thanks for this. I am a frequent flyer and regularly travel within the continental US and overseas to visit various countries. I have been using the TD Avion Card but these options look better. I will definetly look into it.
