Bilt Palladium Hotel Credit
I wanted to put together a quick how to use your $200 Bilt Palladium hotel credit guide. This is the main perk of the card to offset your $495 annual fee after all. Well, that and Bilt Cash – which no one gets. I’ll dive into what I have used my Bilt Cash on a bit tomorrow. I wanted to focus on the Palladium’s hotel credit today though, which they have made easier to use since launch. I will also say it is a little easier to navigate on a computer vs the Bilt Rewards app when booking too.
How To Book A Hotel With Your Bilt Palladium Hotel Credit
The biggest key in using your $200 hotel credit is that it needs to be a two night stay, which is a little bit of a bummer. As you know, $200 doesn’t go too far with hotels these days. Especially when you are talking about a two night stay.

Step 1: Search Your Preferred Destination
First up you will want to pull up your Bilt Rewards account on the app or computer. Like I said above, the changes to the desktop view makes this slightly easier, but both ways are pretty simple. Once logged in go to the Rewards option and then select Hotels and perform your search.

Step 2: You Need To Select Your Palladium Hotel Credit
Once you find the hotel you want to book (for 2+ nights) then you will go to the payment page. Here is where things can differ depending on how you are booking. You need to select to use your Bilt Palladium hotel credit before paying. Wouldn’t it be nice if it was automatically applied? Anyway, finding it was a bit confusing in the beginning.
As you can see from the picture above you need to select to Apply Available Credit. That seems weird, because it looks like you will be using your Bilt Rewards points to make the booking – which we don’t want to do. Clicking apply just takes you to the next screen to make those selections though.

Once you select to Apply Available Credit this is what it will look like in the app. You can then toggle your Bilt Palladium $200 hotel credit on. This is where you would add your monthly Hotel Credit using Bilt Cash as well (if you still have it available for the month). You could also select to use points to pay the remainder, but the rates are only 1.25 cents per Bilt point. Not the best option there, so best to avoid that unless you are swimming in points.

It Looks Different On The Website Now
Bilt must have gotten some feedback since we used our credit, because it is broken out a bit more now. When I did another search last night the hotel credit options were already showing. I didn’t need to select Apply Available Credit to get here. It looks like that change has not made it to the app as of yet. That is why I think booking on a computer is a bit easier for people.
Using Your Bilt Cash For Hotels Is The Same Process
I wanted to point out again that you should see your Monthly Hotel Credit in the same location as the Bilt Palladium $200 credit. This is one of the better uses of Bilt Cash in my opinion.
If you have the Palladium card then you should have Bilt Gold status once your minimum spend is complete for the year. That bumps you up from a $50 a month cap to a $100 a month cap on 2+ night stays. The cool thing is that this stacks with the $200 Bilt Palladium credit. I plan on pairing these two things up twice a year to get $300 off upcoming stays. It does open a whole lot more options to have the credit(s) cover most / all of your booking.
$200 Bilt Hotel Credit
These Bilt Palladium hotel credits are available every 6 months in $200 chunks. You should get $200 in Bilt Cash every year without spending a dime too as a card perk. That means you could combine both to book $600 worth of hotels each year for the $495 annual fee. Not the greatest deal, but a slight discount overall if you want to look at it that way.
I know tracking down the credit was annoying for some early on. It looks like Bilt has improved the system since then, at least on the web. Hopefully they make similar changes to the app. I am sure some people booked hotels thinking the card perk would be added as a statement credit instead of an up front discount. Especially with the toggle on switch buried a bit. Let me know if you have used the $200 hotel credit over in the MTM Facebook Group.

Now if we can only find a way/hack to make it work for 1 night stays 🙂 have an upcoming stay where I booked two nights ($7 net after 200 credit) but will only stay one night.
One night stays would make it so much more useful for sure. I have considered booking 2 night stays where they still gave me a free one night stay too just to burn it.
Bilt is not the only card with a hotel credit that requires a two-night stay. I’m not saying that you said that. I’m just saying it’s a challenge for more than just the Bilt card.
Very true – I am against all 2 night stay requirements! Equal opportunity hater over here haha
Wonder if the hotel will throw something my way (upgrade, free breakfast,…) when I tell them that I will check out a day early but still pay for both nights.
