Introduction
This week there are a few opportunities to grab some quick and easy bonus miles/points. Â IHG Rewards Club has a few old quizzes that can net you a few points and both United & American Airlines have bonus offers for joining their dining programs. Â Lets take a look!
IHG Rewards Club
In what is perhaps the easiest way to earn points, IHG has three quizzes you can take that will award a combined 500 points. Â Each quiz takes less than a minute to complete and the points post almost instantly.
Apparently I had completed one of the quizzes before, so my account only earned 400 points, while my wife’s received the full 500.  A couple minutes worth of clicking and 900 free points! You can find out more information in this Flyertalk thread and the direct links are below.
Update:Â These bonuses are no longer available.
Quiz 1 – 300 points
Quiz 2 – 100 points
Quiz 3 – 100 points
United Airlines
United is offering up to 3,000 bonus miles for members who joining their MileagePlus Dining program. Â New members receive 500 miles for joining and linking a card and then 500 bonus miles for each dine completed within 30 days of signing up. (Maximum total of 3,000 miles.)
You can find out more information about the program and sign up for this offer here. Â Even if you don’t dine, it may be worth signing up just for the 500 free miles!
Note: You cannot link the same card to both the United & American dining programs and double dip, but you can use a different card with each program and still earn the bonus miles.
American Airlines
Perhaps in response to United’s offer, American Airlines is offering 2,000 Aadvantage miles to members who sign up for their dining program, spend at least $30 in a participating restaurant & write a review. (This offer is the most complicated of the three.)
To earn the miles you must sign up by August 30, 2014 and complete your qualifying dine within 30 days of your sign up date. Â You can find more details and a link to sign up here.
Note: You cannot link the same card to both the United & American dining programs and double dip, but you can use a different card with each program and still earn the bonus miles.
Conclusion
If you haven’t seen these offers, then I recommend taking advantage of them to earn free miles/points. Â The IHG quizzes are easy and a lot of times the dining programs have popular restaurants that you may already dine at. Â Additionally, you can link a card like your Chase Freedom which earns 5x points at restaurants this quarter. Â Either way, enjoy your free miles/points and have a great Sunday!
