Booking Multiple Hotel Rooms – How Many Points & Credits Can You Earn?
Are you booking multiple hotel rooms? Wondering if you get points and stay credits for all those rooms? Each hotel loyalty program does things differently. In this article, we’ll look at each program and what their rules are for booking multiple hotel rooms. For each program, we’ll cover points and also stay credits (nights toward status). That way, you’ll know what you’re entitled to and the earning opportunities with group bookings.
Accor Le Club
Le Club is the program of Accor Hotels. Their policy is here.
- Points earning: 2 rooms, but you must be staying in 1 of them, and no one else can earn points on the 2nd room
- Stay credits: only your room
Best Western
The Best Western Rewards policy is here.
- Points earning: 10 rooms in the US/Canada/Caribbean & 3 rooms elsewhere. You must stay in 1 of the rooms and pay for all of them.

Other Things To Think About
“I’ll get tons of points!” Sounds exciting, but this may not be the most important factor in your upcoming stay. If you’re traveling with a big group, maybe you want separate rooms. If it’s your family, and you’re looking at multiple rooms because of kids or in-laws, you might want a better idea. Booking an Airbnb could be more comfortable for that situation, and there are ways to save money & earn points via Airbnb. If you want to use hotel points, look at upgrades available for your hotel status, because you could book a basic room but wind up in a suite. Factor all of these into your booking decisions, because comfort and convenience during your stay might override earning some extra points.
What About Promotions?
We talked about earning points and elite night credits–what about promotions? Things like a “welcome gift of X points” or “earn an extra X points for each stay during this period” are common with hotel promotions. This gets even bigger if you have elite status.
Don’t count on earning extra promotion points when booking multiple hotel rooms. Hilton’s current promotion will give you 2,000 points per stay, but you won’t get it twice just because you booked 2 rooms. Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite members can get 1,000 points at check in, but you won’t get 3,000 points just because your reservation has 3 rooms. The point is that while you can earn points for booking multiple rooms, you won’t earn the fringe benefits on those rooms (promotional bonus points, welcome benefits, elite status credits, etc.).
Final Thoughts On Booking Multiple Hotel Rooms
It’s nice to know that you can earn extra points when booking multiple hotel rooms. You CAN earn them, but make sure doing so is the right choice for your travel plans. Certain programs state that all rooms must be paid for by you and/or put on 1 bill. That means anyone else in your group can’t earn points, so make sure everyone is OK with this before you “steal” their points.
Lastly: Some programs say all rooms must be paid for by you / put on 1 bill. If that’s what you’re doing, make sure these people know in advance whether you expect them to pay you back! “Oh, I thought you were paying” won’t be a fun conversation after the fact.
