Chase Freedom Refer A Friend – How To
1. Go to www.chasereferafriend.com
2. Enter in your last name, zip code and the last four digits of your Chase Freedom card number. If you are not eligible then you will see the following screen. If you are eligible to refer people then you will see the screen as shown below for number 3.
3. You are now on the refer a friend referral screen. Here you must enter in your friend’s first name, last name and email address. Chase will send them the offer via email within 1 week.
4. Finally you will receive a confirmation that the emails will be sent. You can also share the offer on Twitter or Facebook which is much quicker since you can send the links to your friends right away. To get the Chase Freedom refer a friend referral link, just click to share on Twitter or Facebook and then copy and paste the link from there into an email to your friend.
What Is The Chase Freedom Card
The Chase Freedom (personal referral link) card is a fantastic product that gives 1% cash back on everyday purchases (not good) and 5% cash back up to $1500 spend each quarter in rotating categories (excellent). For example, this quarter (4th quarter 2014) the bonus categories are Amazon.com, Zappos.com & select department stores. Remember with the holiday season being a part of this quarter, it shouldn’t be too difficult to maximize the bonus.
One of the great things about the Freedom card is that it doesn’t have an annual fee so it is a good card to keep for a long time in order to raise your average age of accounts and to establish good credit with Chase.
The cash back is earned in the form of points which can be transferred to premium card accounts such as the Chase Ink Bold or Plus & the Sapphire Preferred. This means that you can potentially get a lot more than $.01 value out of each point by transferring them to partners such as United & Hyatt. Here is a my full review of the card.
I personally have two Chase Freedom cards and Jasmine has one. This quarter we are using our Freedom cards when eating out as we always try to maximise our bonuses. If you don’t have a Chase Freedom card, I would definitely recommend it based on personal experience as long as it is something that fits in with your current strategy. Seems to me like Chase is offering an inferior sign up bonus to pay for the “refer a friend” — $100 vs. 150…
I believe $100 (10,000 points) is the best offer right now. I haven’t seen a $150 offer for quite some time and the best offer I have seen was when it jumped to $200 for a few days last year. If I am wrong, then let me know so I can include that link here!
