Apple has officially launched the Apple Card promotion that was rumored last week, but the final version is not nearly as good as many expected. Early reports suggested new cardholders would simply receive $249 back after purchasing AirPods Pro 3, effectively making them free. Instead, the new offer requires ongoing monthly spending to earn the full rebate.
The Offer
Here’s how the promotion works:
- Open a new Apple Card account
- Purchase AirPods Pro 3 directly from Apple by June 15, 2026
- Starting July 1, make at least 10 purchases each month with the card
- Earn $25 in Bonus Daily Cash each month through April 2027, for up to $250 total

That means it takes 10 months of qualifying activity to receive the full rebate. The AirPods purchase itself does not count toward the monthly purchase requirement.
The offer is only available to new Apple Card customers and applies only to AirPods Pro 3 purchased directly from Apple.
Conclusion
While this is still a decent offer for someone planning to open an Apple Card anyway, it’s definitely not as good as the original rumors suggested. Instead of an easy upfront rebate, Apple is spreading the bonus across 10 months and requiring 10 monthly purchase (of any amount at least) to get the full $250 bonus.
