The End Of Ink Bold?
Dan over at Dan’s Deals has information about the possible end of the Chase Ink Bold. The Ink Bold is the charge card version of the Ink with the Plus being the credit card version.
A couple of weeks ago Dan reports a forum member telling him about a branch manager saying the Bold was going away. Apparently Dan called several branches and each confirmed the Bold was being phased out and is no longer available in branch.
Currently the Ink Bold (my thoughts on its value) card is still available online and I wouldn’t go out and apply for it just because there is a rumor of it going away. Stay tuned for details, but if in doubt head the advice I wrote earlier today.
Hotel Tonight 7 Day Booking Window
Hotel Tonight has now officially rolled out their 7 day advance booking program. I wrote about this earlier in the week and the roll out was confirmed by the company via Twitter.
There is still not enough information to know how this will affect the deals that Hotel Tonight offers, but I will be taking a close look over the next few days to see if I can spot any differences.
Hong Kong Protests
My favorite city in the world has been paralized over the past 24 hours due to pro-democracy protests. The Chinese Central Government ruled that candidates for the city’s ruling position must be vetted by committee which is one of the main points of contention.
The situation is very complex and that has only been made more complicated by violence overnight. Bloomberg has a great article with a complete explanation of what is going on and why.
