Citi Sears Mastercard 11X Spending Offer 2020
I have written before about my wife’s Citi Sears Mastercard and why we still carry and keep it. The card is my wife’s oldest card, comes with no annual fee and more importantly gets amazing spending offers. Why not keep it?
We are getting close to November and that means banks are figuring out how they are going to get you to use their card for all of your holiday purchases. That often means spending bonuses, especially on cards you don’t use often. Guess which card we don’t use that often? Yup, our beloved old card that could.
The Offer
The other day via email my wife received the following spending offer on the Citi Sears Mastercard:
- Earn 10X Bonus ThankYou points (up to a total of 6,000 points each month) when you spend $150 or more on ALL eligible purchases each month and use your Sears Mastercard® from 10/1/19 – 1/31/20.
Key Terms
You have the opportunity to receive 10X Bonus ThankYou Points (10X Bonus ThankYou Points per dollar spent) on all eligible purchases which total $150 or more each month (up to a maximum total of 6,000 Bonus ThankYou Points each month) and which are made with your Sears Mastercard and post to your account between 10/1/19 – 1/31/20. These Bonus ThankYou Points are in addition to the 1 ThankYou Point per $1 spent on purchases that you already earn with your card.
Analysis
We have received similar Citi Sears spending offers before, however they normally are capped at 2,500 bonus points per month. This offer gives 10X bonus up to 6,000 points per month in addition to the 1X normally earned, meaning $600 in spend will generate 6,600 ThankYou points. An amazing deal!
Admittedly I don’t know why they didn’t send this via email earlier in the month of October, however unlike previous promos this one lasts 4 months instead of 3 plus I still have a little time to take advantage in October so I am not complaining.
Pro Tip: If you have this card and want to search your email to see if you were targeted, the subject line of the Citi Sears Mastercard 10X spending offer email was, “Activate now to earn 10X Bonus ThankYou® Points”.

The holiday season is exciting for many reasons. There is of course the food, traditions and family, but there are A LOT OF DEALS! That means gift card deals, spending deals, bonus offers galore! This Citi Sears Mastercard 11X spending offer is pretty amazing and I plan to max it out each and every month.

Typically people were able to convert to the TYP version after a few months but there were multiple reports earlier this year that this was not possible anymore.
Can you still apply for this card?
I also received this same offer Shawn. Finally one that I can take advantage of. Can’t believe I’ve had this credit card for 25 years now.
I got 10x for up to 600$ worth of travel 🙁 not nearly as nice. Best I’ve ever gotten was Earlier this spring with 10x for over $2,000 in total grocery, gas and restaurants per month up to 25, 000 points a month.
can these points be transferred to airlines?
If combined with a premium Citi card like Premier or Prestige or transferred to one of those cards.
