CNB Crystal Visa Infinite Card Now Earns 5X on Groceries for Two Months
On January 1, 2020, huge negative changes kicked in for the City National Bank Crystal Visa Infinite Card. $100 Visa Infinite discount went away, Priority Pass lounge access took a hit, and you no longer earn 3x on gas and groceries either. The card now only earns 3x on airline, hotel, taxi and transport and restaurant and takeout purchases. Everything else earns just 1x.
But at least for two months, the CNB Crystal Visa Infinite Card is temporarily bringing back an even better earning rate on groceries.
The Offer
Earn 5X on grocery purchases, up to $1,000 per month, in June and July. The increased earning rate will apply retroactively to purchases from June 1st, and through July 31, 2020.
Conclusion
This is a great earning rate for those that still have the card. If you use for purchases of exactly $1,000 at grocery stores in June and July, you will have 10,000 points by the end of the promotion. The rewards you earn with the City National Bank Crystal Visa Infinite Card are worth up to 1.2¢ when used for travel purchases.

What counts as groceries? Walmart? Target? or just Kroger, Public, Winn Dixie, etc.?
I received an email from City this morning regarding this temporary promotion. Nothing like notifying cardholders towards the end of June that the promotion began June 1st. Now if they’d repair the damage they did to the Priority Pass (no guests), I might actually keep my account open after it renews in a few months.
you would have thought that CNB would have at least informed the card holders by now since we are now nearing the end of June. Thank you Miles to Memories!
